What is the Delatite Valley Plan?
The Delatite Valley Plan is a comprehensive 20-year vision aimed at guiding the development and enhancement of the Delatite Valley region. It focuses on sustainable development, economic growth, cultural enrichment, and community well-being. Once completed the plan will be adopted by Council and provide direction regarding any future growth and economic development in the area.
Why is my input important?
Community input is crucial as it ensures the plan reflects the needs, aspirations, and values of those who live in, work in, and visit the Delatite Valley. Your feedback helps create a plan that is both inclusive and representative. No one voice is more influential than any other and we encourage all who have an interest in the future of the Delatite Valley to participate
What are the key focus areas of the plan?
Key focus areas include environmental sustainability, economic development, tourism enhancement, infrastructure improvement and cultural and recreational activities.
How will the plan impact the community?
The plan aims to positively impact the community by improving quality of life, supporting economic growth, preserving the environment and enhancing cultural and recreational opportunities.
Does the plan rezone land at Pinnacle Valley?
No. No future rezonings are proposed for the upper Delatite Valley due to the extreme bushfire risk. The Farming Zone properties in this area have been identified as places where day-tourism uses might be encouraged.
