Consultation has concluded

Council is planning to install new LED lighting at Lords Oval to improve the safety, accessibility and capacity of the ground for our local sporting community.

Better lighting will allow for expanded practice and competition times, ensuring more residents can enjoy our facilities after work and school. This project is a key part of our commitment to providing high-quality recreation spaces across Mansfield Shire.

    As the demand for community sport grows, the current lack of adequate lighting at Lords Oval limits the ground’s use during the evening.

    Installing a modern LED system will specifically benefit junior and women's teams by providing a safe and reliable environment for training and play.

    We are working to ensure the proposed lighting system provides excellent visibility for the oval while being mindful of nearby residents. The use of LED technology allows for highly directed light, which minimises "spill" into surrounding areas and reduces energy consumption.
