Consultation has concluded
Local Emergency Action Plans (LEAPs) have been developed for several of Mansfield Shire's outlying communities as part of the LEAPing into Resilience project.
A LEAP aims to:
understand the local emergency context and the potential impacts on our community
identify community skills and resources to help prepare and recover from emergency events
explore opportunities for skill building and provide important information and resources
This project is a joint initiative between Murrindindi, Mansfield and Strathbogie Shire Councils, funded by the Australian Government.

Through the LEAPing into Resilience Project, LEAPs have been completed for Tolmie, Merton and Goughs Bay. They are available to view and download on Council's website.
Over past 18 months the project has engaged with residents in a range of activities, bringing people together to build connections and discuss the emergency risks and needs for their local areas.
Community members contributed to developing a LEAP for their area that reflects those risks and needs.
Later this year we will be inviting more of our local communities to join in the project. To express your interest in being involved, contact the LEAPing into Resilience Project Officer at Murrindindi Shire Council.
