Upgrades around the ground at Lords

Major upgrades to facilities and amenities are on the way for Lords Reserve.

Following on from the drainage and car parking upgrade works completed at the reserve last year, our planned upgrades include:

  • An all-new spectator and club pavilion with change rooms, restrooms, storage, offices, a scorers' viewing room and multi-purpose rooms.
  • Repair and refurbishment of existing clubrooms.
  • Improvements to the amenities block, including the installation of a new accessible toilet.
  • Other works around the ground to improve accessibility, manage water and provide energy-efficiency.

An LED lighting system for the oval is also planned, subject to future grant funding.

These projects aim to improve access and grow participation across various sports, recreational activities and events.

We've been working closely with sports clubs and other user groups to design the new modern facilities. Construction of the upgrades is planned to take place from 2025-26.

The project has been made possible through a significant partnership between Mansfield Shire Council and the Australian Government. Council has successfully secured a $1.41 million grant from the Australian Government’s Growing Regions Program - Round 1, which will be combined with a Council contribution of $710,000.
