In the next 12 months Council will upgrade Rifle Butts Road to:
improve the road surface,
reduce dust caused by traffic,
increase road lane widths,
improve the visibility of oncoming traffic, and
develop road drainage.
In addition to improvement of Rifle Butts Road, the preservation of large native trees and native animal habitats along Rifle Butts Road will also be crucial considerations in the upgrade design.
Based upon feedback from the first community forum held in late 2023, the Rifle Butts Road upgrade design has been updated.
Council is committed to ensuring that before construction starts, the community has another opportunity to view and discuss the project plans and so on Thursday 22 February held a project community meeting in Council's Chambers.
The presentation for this meeting is here and the community consultation drawings that were reviewed are here for Section A ,Section B and Section C. An explanation of the sections of Rifle Butts Road is here.
The consolidated feedback from the Thursday 22 February community meeting is here.
