In the next 12 months Council will upgrade Highton Lane to improve:
the road surface, drainage and road shoulders,
footpaths,
pedestrian, cyclist & child safety, and
streetscape amenity.
In addition to these improvements, the preservation of existing gardens and trees in the Highton Lane road reserve and the planting of new street trees to create improved visual amenity are important project considerations.
Based upon feedback from the first community forum held in 2023, the Highton Lane upgrade design has been updated.
Council is committed to ensuring that before construction starts, the community has a final opportunity to view and discuss the project plans and so on Wednesday 21 February a community meeting on the project was held at Council's Chambers.
The presentation for this meeting is here and the community consultation drawings that were reviewed at the meeting are here.
The consolidated feedback from the community meeting of Wednesday 21 February is here.
