A new precinct hosting Mansfield's emergency services has been proposed for the old saleyards site at 166 Maroondah Highway.

The Mansfield Emergency Services Precinct will be developed in two stages. Stage 1 includes the Mansfield Emergency Resilience Recovery Centre, a local HQ for SES Mansfield branch and contemporary accommodation for the Mansfield Ambulance Victoria officers.

All services should be located there. Ambulance Victoria, CFA, Police and SES.
All in close proximity to each other.

It's been a long time coming and the location is perfect, already owned so no extra costs in purchasing land.
I feel this is a win for all and I do hope that the CFA will come in board..
Thanks for keeping us informed Mayor Rabie.. Great work MSC .

Great idea. Having the different services co-habit a shared centre makes emergency event management just so much easier, plus provides and economy of scale by sharing resources common to all services.

Looking at our physical location away from larger towns and hospitals and the physical distance of getting an ambulance crew from the current air strip to the hospital- it just makes sense to bring this precinct to town..
other closer towns have new Police Stations and ambulance stations and it is now Mansfield's turn!

Good idea- wrong location. This location is the gateway into the town and should be used to welcome and attract visitors (that the town survives off). This council is crying poor all the time with it's hand out wanting grants. How about sell the block of land that was the sale yards that's sat empty for 10+ years and use that money to build this precinct on Lakins road that council owns.

The Mansfield Shire and surrounds is experiencing changes and trends that are directly affecting emergency and incident management:
- the area is thriving, with sustained population growth leading to an increased number of both minor and major incident responses.
- the risk of large-scale disasters and their consequences is escalating.
- emergency services are increasingly working in partnership, enhancing the overall pool of resources, expertise, and support.

Establishing a state-of-the-art, centrally located emergency services precinct is a logical and essential next step:
- physical resources, knowledge, and operational experience will be shared seamlessly.
- the facility will stand as a symbol of emergency preparedness and play a key role in raising community awareness about the importance of readiness and proactive action.
- a new centre will increase capacity and capability. Volunteer numbers will grow and training of staff and volunteers will be greatly improved in a purpose built new facility. The design will foster improved inter-agency collaboration and facilitate joint training exercises.

As a resident of Mansfield Shire, I fully support this initiative and wish Mansfield Shire Council and its partners every success in securing funding for this vital project. The benefits to emergency services and the broader community will be substantial, long-lasting, and deeply valued.

The proposed Mansfield Emergency Services Precinct is a brilliant and essential concept. A coordinated approach to any emergency situation can make a huge difference to the outcome, both physically and financially. The changing face of emergencies, the increase in tourist activity, and the rapid growth of the Mansfield district require a well informed and coordinated approach to any situation. A facility such as this would provide the opportunity for improved communication, education and support for all workers.
I fully endorse the proposed Mansfield Emergency Services Precinct project

Well overdue and very much needed for the growing mansfield community.

Adequate resources provided from a dedicated precinct are long overdue for our emergency services volunteers in Mansfield. For too long they have generously given their time and professional services without adequate resources as the Mansfield district has grown to become one of Victoria’s most popular destinations. For reasons of safety and best outcomes, Mansfield needs an emergency services precinct with adequate resources to manage and co-ordinate the increasing demand on our emergency volunteers.

A new emergency precinct would be great. The town is a gateway to many outdoor activities/hobbies, sports ect and to bushfires. The growing town can use all the emergency services help it can get.

Financial and physical efficiency would thrive from consolidation of these critical emergency services into the one precinct.
Our town and surrounds deserve government funding for this project to better support the massive tourism and farming industries that in turn help fund government.
Please give back to the hand the feeds you.

I support this much needed Emergency Precinct. The Mansfield District offers so much for our locals and the many many tourist who enjoy our municipality & the high country each year. We need to be able to service our vast geographical area in an efficient manner. Please make it happen.

What a fabulous and innovative solution to have all emergency services in one location. This will ensure they can work together and support each other. It will also showcase the work they do as a group which will enable more community recognition and $$$ to support the necessary and life changing work they do! Well done Mansfield !

What a great idea

This is a much needed facility for a region that deals with excessive numbers of tourists all year round. Our region attracts high risk activities in a remote environment and this facility would ensure continued support to the community.

As a person who will be returning to the community in the near future for my husband and I to spend our retirement we are fully supportive of the emergency management precinct.
I have lived in Mansfield during large and small scale emergencies and to have a collaborative location for all ES’s will ensure well rounded services for the increasing number of disastrous events, small scale evacuations, search and rescue, the list continues.

As a young family moving to Mansfield, this proposal makes me feel reassured that Mansfield is planning for its future growth and town safety. I really hope this project proposal is successful. We're looking forward to opportunities to do our bit for the community and grow with it too.
