Mansfield Shire residents and visitors are invited to give feedback on the proposed Mt Buller Road Service Lane Works Detailed Design until 12noon Friday 22 December 2023.
Council has worked with local businesses to identify changes required to resolve traffic and parking issues along the busy service lane that extends along the northern side of Mt Buller Road, west of Greenvale Lane. This engagement showed there was support for widening the service road and providing parallel parking on both sides, where possible, while also maintaining 2-way access along the service road.
The proposed works were included in Council’s 2023-24 Capital Works Budget and the design has been prepared by FMG Engineering to include:
Removal of the existing road shoulder and unsealed parking area on the southern side of the road and construction of new sealed road pavement for parallel parking
Provide a drainage solution for the area, the road and the new parking bays with potential connection to existing drainage system in the area.
Line marking and signage of the road and parking to better define parking areas and improve safety.
Island modification at Greenvale Lane and island construction (suitable for turning heavy vehicles) at Timothy Lane

Community feedback received will be taken onboard and used to finalise the detailed design.
