Background
Monkey Gully Road and Old Tolmie-Mahaikah Road are important local roads used by residents, property owners, and visitors. Council has identified the need for improvements to enhance safety and improve the overall function of the roads and their intersection.
Upgrading the Old Tolmie-Mahaikah Road intersection and Monkey Gully Road will help improve traffic movement, increase safety for all users, and ensure the infrastructure meets current and future community needs.
What is Being Proposed?
Monkey Gully Road
Installation of thermoplastic/long lasting centreline on the sealed section of the road.
Upgrade of existing signage and installation of new signage.
Installation of new safety barriers including guardrails and terminals.
Old Tolmie-Mahaikah Road Intersection
Installation of a traffic island.
Shoulder widening.
Upgrade of existing signage and installation of new signage.
Kerb and channel improvements.
