Mansfield Shire Council is progressing the concept design for new and upgraded car parking areas as part of the broader Mansfield Station Precinct Activation Program.
The proposed carparks are designed to improve access to key recreational and tourism assets within the precinct including the Great Victorian Rail Trail, the Mansfield Visitor Information Centre and the Mansfield Heritage Museum.
Together these carparks aim to reduce congestion, improve accessibility, and provide parking options that better support the growing number of visitors to the precinct. The designs also cater for a range of users, including general visitors, people travelling with caravans, horse riders with horse floats and tour buses.
This project forms part of Council’s ongoing commitment to enhancing visitor experience, supporting recreational tourism, and improving connectivity across the Mansfield Station Precinct.
The multi-project transformation of the Mansfield Station Precinct is made possible by a $14.1 million grant from the Australian Government’s Regional Precincts and Partnerships Program.
